Summer Learning and Activities Series – June and July 2021 – This fun series of literacy and learning activities for youth ages 3+ can easily be done at home. The series will feature fun learning activities and youth instructors on Wednesdays, and weekly readings on Mondays and Saturdays. UAB Virtual Magic Camp is a FREE & VIRTUAL Summer Camp open to children ages 9-18 with a disability. In this three-week magic camp, children will spend approximately two hours a week learning tricks developed by illusionist Kevin Spencer and his HEALING OF MAGIC program. Each camper will have two UAB Occupational Therapy students assigned to them for the entire camp and they will meet virtually to learn magic tricks. National Federation of the Blind 2021 BELL Academy In-Home Edition is offering a two-week summer academy for blind and low vision children ages 4-12 and their parents. The program will teach Braille and other nonvisual skills in a fun interactive way for children to enjoy and learn at the same time.
